Tips for healthy mouth and teeth

Oral health is an essential part of general health. Our body functions as a whole organism and teeth are an integral part of wellness. Anything that happens to teeth can also affect organs in the body. People who are missing teeth have problems chewing food, which can ultimately lead to the development of digestive tract diseases.

When dental caries and complications arise most people seek the help of a dentist.

Initially dental caries have no symptoms and people do not realize they need to contact a dentist.

However, the cavity in the tooth opens the way to infection that penetrates the center of the tooth, thus damaging the dental nerve and causing pain.

At this stage the internal structure of the tooth can be destroyed, which can lead to tooth fracture. Therapy can be complicated and more expensive than in the initial stage of rehabilitation of caries.

If the tooth is not treated, the infection can enter through the root canal and affect the jawbone. Then the diseased tooth forms a “process” from which the bacteria through the blood vessels of the head and neck can spread throughout the body, without the person being aware.

Bacteria can find its way to the weakest organ, usually when people are under stress, or if immunity is compromised.

Neglected teeth and gum tissue can lead to diseases of the heart and blood vessels, kidneys, respiratory organs, various skin diseases, and affects the joints, muscles and ligaments. These diseases can be so severe that they endanger the person’s life.
